Thank you to everybody who signed up to join our jazz band this term! Your conductors (Ricky & Shania) are super duper excited about the setlists we have put together and the cool events we have coming up (shout-out Battle of the Bands)!!

To give you some statistics from this term, we had 67 (haha) signups with 69% of the band being engineering students (I promise these are the real numbers). The most popular program is tron with 10 signups (though if you lump them together, ECE wins; not biased at all…). We’re being pretty inclusive this term with 40% new members and 25% first years. The most popular instrument this term was the trumpet with 14 of you signing up…

It was also really fun to read the responses of new members…you all wrote in your experience as if this were a resume which was hilarious and I’m super excited to have such talented people joining our band this term! You all have such amazing accomplishments and have a unique sound to add to our band :).
